X-Factors break win drought

Colors X-Factors registered their maiden victory after a run of back-to-back loss in the Ncell Nepal Premier (NPL) at the Fapla cricket grounds in Dhnagadhi on Sunday. In their bid to register their first victory in their third match, X-Factors defeated Sagarmatha Legends by four wickets.

 

With the lost Legends are pushed to third after their fourth match on four points and a minus run rate. Kantipur Gurkhas have two points from two matches on fourth and X-Factors for the first time moved one spot up to the fifth with two points. Warriors are languishing at the bottom two points from four matches. Sharad Vesawkar-led Panchakanya Tez is in the first position on with better net run rate as well as Tez has played one game less. X-Factors bundled out Legends for just 105 runs in 38.3 overs where Rahul Kumar BK top scored with 22 off 49 balls. Opener Sunil Dhamal made a 19 from 40 with a four and a six, while Paresh Lohani was the next best contributor on 18 off 53.

Sanjam Regmi took 3-23 from 9.3 overs with Raj Mohammad, Hari Shankar Sah and Kumar Thapa registered two wickets in their name whil Fazlur Rehman Khan getting one scalp.

X-Factors were 34-3 losing openers Subash Pradhan (13), Faizlur Rehaman Khan and No 3 batsman Rajesh Pulami (duck) after 8.4 overs. However, skipper Gyanendra Malla and Hari Shankar shared 49 runs to take X-Factors to a strong position.

Gyanendra top scored with 36 runs from 34 balls with three sixes and two fours. Hari Shankar scored 33 not out from 52 balls with five boundaries and was rewarded as man of the match award. Siddhanta Lohani was not out on nine. Nischal Pandey took 4-30 from 10 overs for Legends but to no avail.
