Indian cricket manufacturing company KI Sports has sponsored Nepali national women’s team skipper Rubina Chhettri. An acronym to ‘Khele India’, KI Sports is a Delhi-based cricket gears manufacturing company.
The company agreed to provide all the required cricketing gears for one year, beginning August 2, 2021, to the Nepali captain. In addition to the gears, the company will also facilitate Rubina with an undisclosed amount to promote their brand.
Nepali sports management company Levin Sports Management Pvt. Ltd coordinated to make the deal possible between the two parties. “I’m very satisfied with all the gears and facilities provided by KI Sports and looking forward to long-term partnership,” Rubina said.
“I would like to thank Levin Sports for prioritising women’s cricket and bringing investment into it,” she added.
“It’s very good to see private sectors’ interest in promoting women’s cricket. This indicates the improving graph and condition of women’s cricket,” Cricket Association of Nepal Treasurer Roshan Singh said. “This financial revenue including deal should encourage other women players to push their limit and widen the scope of women’s cricket in Nepal.”
KI Sports and Levin Sports Management are working to endorse some more women cricketers in Nepal. Levin Sports is determined to facilitate women cricketers with financial rewards along with the gears.
CAN has begun the women’s national team pre-camp from Saturday. Among selected 24 players, eight players from this region will train at the TU grounds under coach Jagat Tamatta.
