Ultimate Indoors Pvt Ltd on Thursday officially inaugurated the Ultimate Indoor cricket ground in Sahayoginagar, Koteshwor. National cricket team skipper Paras Khadka inaugurated the facility which has been set up with an investment of five million rupees by a group of 10 cricket enthusiasts.
The facility includes two practice pitches and one indoor hall with a length of 90 feet and breadth of 40 feet. The indoor hall has a surface with astro turf which could be used for playing matches.
The commercial indoor hall can be used in playing six-a-side matches with each game costing Rs 1500 during normal days and Rs 2,000 during the weekend. The indoor also has a membership provision.
Samir Nepal, one of the investors of the facility, said the indoor hall has been set up to accommodate cricketers of all ages. “This could be used for training purpose for kids who aspire to be cricketers, youths who want to undergo training to avoid monsoon, working group of people who want to take time out from their job,” said Nepal.
National team skipper Paras said it was a good initiative. “At a time when the nation itself is struggling to construct indoor facilities, this is a nice initiative by a private organization. Let’s hope that this will help in producing more cricketers from the grass root,” said Paras.
