Tight win for Australia in second ODI

Australia has won the second One Day International against England by one wicket and leads the five matches ODI series by 2-0 in the match held at Brisbane Cricket Ground, Brisbane on Friday.


Winning the toss England elected to bat first and made a huge score of 300 runs in their 50 overs with the loss of eight wickets.


Eion Morgan was the highest run scorer for England who made a brilliant century. Morgan playing 99 balls made 106 runs with four boundaries and six sixes.


Apart from Morgan, Ian Bell contributed 68 runs and Jos Butler made 49 runs for England.


Chasing the target of 301 runs, Australia reached the target with the loss of nine wickets in 49.3 overs.


It was man of the match James Jaulkner who took the match from the hand of England to his team who made not out 69 runs. Fulkner played 47 balls and scored three boundaries and five sixes.


The next match of the tournament will be played on January 19 at Sydney.
