Thames International College is set to hold the Thames Inter-college Cricket Tournament (20-over per side) at the Sainik Awasiya School in Bhaktapur from May 10 to 22. Organizing a press meet in the capital on Monday, the hosts informed that two separate competitions—one for BIM and second for BBA—will be organized during the tournament.
“The colleges having Bachelor in Information Management courses will take part in one competition whereas with Bachelor in Business Administration will vie for another event. We are organizing both the events because we are the defending champions in both sections and as per the rules the events are organized by the winners,” informed Sujan Kayastha, director of Thames College.
Host Thames, Shankar Dev Campus, KCMIT, Prime College and KIST are taking part in both the sections, while Nagarjun College will participate in BIM section.
Similarly, CAB, KMC, K&K, Kathford College, Bhaktapur Multiple Campus, Patan Multiple Campus, Nepal Commerce Campus, Campion College, Public Youth Campus, Everest College, MMC Nepalgunj, MMAC Biratnagar and Universal College will vie for BBA category.
According to the hosts the competitions played in knockout format with losers will be eliminated from the competitions.
Anil Khadka, chairperson for the event, said that the tournament will cost one million to 1.2 million and registration fee for every college is Rs 25,000.
“We do not award the winners with cash but provide attractive prizes,” said Khadka.
