Nepali national cricket team who left for South Africa on Wednesday for their ICC World Cricket League Division-II preparation will play three matches beginning from Friday.
Nepal will begin the tournament with a match against Eastern Academy Team on January 9 before meeting Mpumalaga Cricket Union on January 10. The tour will come to an end with the match against another Eastern team which will have franchise players informed the Cricket Association of Nepal on Thursday.
Nepal’s tour has been cut short to six days after the CAN failed to get hold of the visa for players on time. They were originally scheduled to leave for South Africa on January 2 but left on January 7 losing one of the practice matches.
While a group of Nepali team including Coach Pubudu Dassanayake left on Wednesday, seamer Amrit Bhattarai, assistant coach Binod Das and technical analyst Raman Siwakoti will leave on Friday.
Nepal will take on hosts Namibia, Uganda, the Netherlands, Canada and Kenya in the Division 2 tournament that begins from January 17-24.
