Tamim Iqbal to return soon

Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal is expected to return to cricket within two or three weeks if everything goes right. Iqbal who was in Australia for his treatment underwent surgery on his left knee in Melbourne.

 

Iqbal who is one of the important member of Bangladesh cricket team for the World Cup 2015 which will kick off jointly in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 was in Australia and was taking consultancy with Dr David Young and Orthopedic.

 

Iqbal suffered from knee injury which he suffered during Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League’s first phase matches earlier this month. The batsman had suffered from grade one meniscus tear on his left knee.

 

Iqbal is informed to be able to start his net session pretty soon after that he will have to do rehabilitation for sometimes. He will join Bangladesh team on January 24, 12 days late after Bangladesh will be in Australia for their training.
