Tamatta spotted indoor at shooting range

For an ordinary eye, it might look a bit weird to see the national team cricketers undergo indoor sessions at the Shooting Range in Satdobato but not for the man who discovered it.

Chief coach Jagat Tamatta is the man who spotted the possibility of having a temporary indoor nets at the Shooting Range which now has atleast given the cricketers a place to practice avoiding persistent  monsoon rain.

Since the long-awaited indoor nets at the Mulpani Stadium still being a laughing stock, almost two-week of closed-camp training was disrupted by monsoon rain. Tamatta, in his visit at the shooting  range, found a place that was later supposed to relieve the ACC Emerging Teams Cup preparing national team.

Tamtta ran with his concept at the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and it finally gave a go ahead to the plan. Though the congested indoor nets has very little for the fast bowlers, it has somehow given the batsmen a place to try their shots.

“Working at the NIS office and saw it from there and visualised the nets. I later talked to the NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama and he positively took the proposal,” said Tamtta. “This has helped us a lot because if we had not done, we would have stayed more idle,” said the chief coach at the National Sports Council.
