Kolkata Knight Riders off spinner Sunil Narine has been banned for bowling in the final of Champions League T20 Cricket Tournament against Chennai scheduled on Saturday.
Narine was suspected with the illegal delivery during the match against Hobart Hurricanes in the semi-final of the tournament. As per the rule of Champions League, if a bowler is reported for illegal action for two times then the bowler will not be eligible to bowl for the whole tournament.
Narine was reported for suspect bowling action during Kolkata’s last match of group stage match against Dolphins.
The ban means it will not affect Narine’s duty for his country West Indies. This will only be effective for the tournaments organized by BCCI including Champions League T20 and IPL.
