The first T20 International between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh ended in the last ball thriller and Sri Lanka won the match by just two runs in the match held at Chittagong on Wednesday. With the win Sri Lanka lead the two matches series 1-0.
Sri Lanka loosing the toss batted first and made a total of 168 runs with the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
Kusal Perera was the highest run scorer for Sri Lanka who made 64 runs in just 44 balls. Man of the match Perera also scored seven fours and a six.
Apart from Perera Nuwan Kulasekara also contributed 31 runs in 21 balls with one four and two sixes.
Chasing the target of 169 runs Bangladesh was could make 166 runs in 20 overs loosing their seven wickets.
Anamul Haque was the highest run scorer for Bangladesh who was able to make 58 runs in 45 balls with seven fours.
The second and final T20 International between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held on Chittagong on February 14.
