Sri Lanka to meet England for only T20

Sri Lanka will start their tour of England with the only T20 International to be played at Kennington Oval in London on Tuesday. Sri Lanka is in the tour of England to play one T20, five ODIs and two test matches.


After winning the title of T20 World Cup recently held at Bangladesh this will be Sri Lanka’s first T20 international game. After leading the Sri Lankan to the maiden T20 World Cup title as Captain Dinesh Chandimal decided to drop himself at the World T20. Sri Lankan cricket board has appointed Malinga as the new captain for T20 team.


Also Sri Lanka will be playing T20 International for the first time after their veteran batsman duo Kumar Sangakara and Mahela Jayawardene resigned from the international T20 after T20 World Cup final.
