Sri Lanka clinched T20 series against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka finished their second T20 international win against Bangladesh in the last ball after chasing the target of 120 runs by three wickets to take the two match series 2-0 in the match held at Chittagong on Saturday.

 

Bangladesh winning the toss in the match were all out making 120 runs in 19.5 overs. Sabbir Rahman was the highest run scorer who made 26 runs while Anamul Haque also made quick fire 24 runs from 17 balls. Latish Malinga of Srilanka took 3 wickets conceding 20 runs in 3.5 overs.

 

Chasing the target of 121 runs Sri Lanka won the match in the last ball thriller loosing seven wickets in their 20 overs. Kumar Sangakkara was the highest run scorer for Sri Lanka who made 37 runs while Angelo Parera also contributed not out 35 runs.

 

Bangladesh Captain Mashrafe Mortaza who lead his country after a gap took two wickets conceding 29 runs in four overs.

 

Thisara parera of Sri Lanka was rewarded as Man of the match while Nuwan Kulasakera of Sri Lanka was elected as the man of the series.
