Sompal lands in Sri Lanka for first class cricket

Nepal’s fast bowling sensation Sompal Kami has landed in Sri Lanka to play first class cricket in the island country.
Sompal will play for Saracens Cricket Club for this season. Sompal is hired for the three-month long season and will be paid for each game. The club is also managing Sompla’s entire stay during the Premier Trophy — first class cricket — that runs till mid-February.
The Premier Trophy includes three-day cricket and 50-over games, while Sompal will get paid 7500 Sri Lankan rupees for each game. It will be second stint for Sompal in Sri Lanka, who along with Sagar Pun played for Kalutara Cricket Club early this year.
Kalutara were in the second tier and were promoted from the last season. Sompal had taken 37 wickets for Kalutara. Saracens were also promoted this year replacing Panadura Sports Club.
Once Sompal takes to the field for Saracens, he will become the first Nepali player to play first class cricket in a Test playing nation.
