Smith out from remaining ODI against Pak

Graeme Smith, test team captain of South Africa has been left out of the One day international team for the three matches ODI series against Pakistan on Wednesday.


Smith’s name has been withdrawn from ODI team after he suffered from “Post concussion syndrome.” Team Manager Mohammed Moosajee also confirmed about the news.


Smith got a hit on his head by a bouncer from fast bowler Mohammad Irfan during the second test between Pakistan and South Africa in Dubai last month. Though he has played two ODIs against Pakistan in UAE has felt dizziness and difficulty in focusing in these days.


“We took his MRI scan on Tuesday and showed no injury to his brain. But it is wise to withdraw form the team for this time as he needs some rest to get recover soon,” team manager told press.


Smith will return back to South Africa on Thursday.
