Dhoni became the slowest player to score to half century for India in One Day
Former captain who took 108 balls to reach his half century
surpassed former captain Sourav Ganguly’s 105 balls against Sri Lanka back in
2005. Ganguly is also in the third position 104 balls against Bangladesh in
India chasing a target of 190 runs were all out making 178
runs losing the match by 11 runs. Dhoni made 54 runs but could not save India
from losing the match. India was just 14 runs away from win in 48.6 overs when
Dhoni lost his wicket.
Dhoni’s earlier slowest fifty was against Pakistan back in
2013 at Eden Garden where he played 88 balls.
