Shilu leaves for Australia

National women’s team cricketer Shilu Rijal has left for Australia for further studies. Shilu has joined University of Western Sydney for BBA studies.
Shilu had represented the senior national side in two international events. She was the part of the team that won the ACC U-19 Women’s Tournament in 2012 and ACC Women’s Championship in Thailand early this year. Shilu is an all rounder who used to open the innings. She was declared the best bowler of the tournament during U-19 National Tournament when she took nine wickets. She has not bowled in international tournaments.
Speaking to www.cricketingnepal.com Shilu experessed her interest in playing for Nepal in the future too. “I want and wish to play for Nepal in the future. I am looking for a good cricket academy where I can get chance to practice. I hope to represent Nepal as I return back to my country after completing my studies,” the cricketer from Kathmandu shared her view.
