Sainik Sharks of Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya (SAM) humbled NCops of Nepal Police School by 10 wickets to claim the inaugural edition of the Wai Wai School Cricket Series at the SAM grounds in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

The hapless NCops were a no-match for dominant Sharks who had come into the final winning all their four matches convincingly. And they delivered even perfectly at their home grounds bundling out NCops for just 46 runs 15.2 overs. Openers Bishnu Kumal and Sajal Bhandari did the rest as they reached 47 without loss in just 24 balls.
Bishnu hammered 28 off 16 with six boundaries and Sajal was a calm ally making five off eight with one hit to the fence. Earlier, Santosh Khadka and Mandip Bhandari took three wickets each to put Sharks at the front foot.
Saroj Dallakoti picked up two wickets while Sourav Pela also had one scalp. Suraj Chaudhary (10) and Subham Chaudhary (12) were the only NCops batsmen to make runs in double figures.
In the third place playoff, Sainik Seals of SAM edged DAV Kiwis of DAV School by three wickets. Subham Jhawar made 42 off 38 with five boundaries and a six as Kiwis made 93-7 in 20 overs. Kushal Pun (30) of Seals was the only batsman to make runs in double figures but they crawled to 94-7 in 18.1 overs after Kiwis gifted them 31 extra runs.
