Sharad nominated for Player of the Year

Nepal’s
in-form batsman Sharad Vesawkar has been nominated for Pulsar Sports Award
Player of the Year male category.
Sharad had
been instrumental in Nepal’s victories in the ICC World Cricket League
Championship matches last year that began with twin victories against Namibia
at home.

Sharad had
struck unbeaten 50 and 74 runs in both the matches against Namibia as Nepal
opened their accounts in the WCLC. He also struck an unbeaten 55 runs against
Hong Kong in the Emerging Teams Cup.

Sharad
totaled with 264 runs and had picked up four wickets — all against Kenya in
the second match of the WCLC at home in a game that Nepal had won.

Sharad had
previously won the Special Award in NSJF’s Pulsar Sports Award, the most
coveted accolade in Nepali sports.
