Bangladesh cricket Board (BCB) has banned their all rounder Shakib Al Hasan for three matches and also fined him Bangladeshi Taka three lakhs on Friday.
Bangladesh board informed about the news releasing a statement. According to the statement Hasan has been given penalty for making an inappropriate gesture on live television during the second One Day International against Sri Lanka in Mirpur.
The three match suspension means Hasan will miss the two matches of the Asia cup against India and Afghanistan. Hasan will also miss the third and last ODI against Sri Lanka that will be played on Saturday at Dhaka.
Missing two matches by an experienced all rounder Hasan means a brutal bluster for the host in the first two matches of Asia Cup.
Bangladesh will start their Asia Cup campaign against India on February 26 at Fatullah.
