Sarfarz Ahmed to be Pakistan test captain

As an expectation
Sarfraz Ahmed will be Pakistan’s next Test captain. Ahmed has been leading
Pakistan in T20 Internationals and ODIs already.

Pakistan Cricket Board
chairman Shaharyar Khan announced that Ahmed will be Pakistan’s 32nd Test
captain during a reception held at the Prime Minister’s residence organized to
honor Champions Trophy winning team.

Ahmed was appointed as
ODI team captain when Azar Ali resigned from captaincy this February. The post
of Test captain was vacant after their regular captain Mishab-ul-Haq retired
from Test after Pakistan’s tour of West Indies.

After Misbah everyone
was expecting Ahmed to be the next test captain and after winning the title of
Champions Trophy defeating their arch-rival India in the final it was almost
sure that he would be handed test captaincy.

30-years old Ahmed
will lead Pakistan for the first time in test when Pakistan will host Sri Lanka
in their home match at UAE starting from October 19.
