Former Indian all rounder Sanjay Banger has been named the assistant coach of King’s XI Punjab for the 2014 IPL season on Thursday.

Bangar who played 12 test matches and 15 OIDs for India 2001 to 2004 got the opportunity to work as an assistant coach for Punjab which is co-owned by bollywood star Preity Zinta.
Banger had earlier worked as batting coach of Kochi Tuskers, an IPL team also.
After retiring from first class cricket in January 2013 Bangar has been coaching India A side also.
Earlier Bangar was also a part of the IPL teams Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders as a player.
