Sagar Pun to donate 25k to old-aged home

National team and Tribhuvan Army Club all-rounder Sagar Pun has shown a noble gesture by donating Rs 25,000 to an old-age home.

Sagar was declared the Prime Minister Cup man-of-the-series on Thursday and the honor won him a cash purse of Rs 100,000.

Speaking with cricketingnepal, Sagar said: “I had always wished to help needy people especially of the old-age home but with different reasons couldn’t do it earlier. Since I got the player-of-the-series award in this tournament, I want to donate a small amount to the old-aged home. I think we can start at anytime for a good cause.”

Sagar said his work of philanthropy will not end here. “I will continue to do it in future as well. Whether I win any prize or I get allowance or salary playing for national team or my club, I will continue to get involved in this kind of work,” said Sagar. “I also have plans to support orphans and needy children in near future.“

Sagar, however, is yet to decide the old-age home that he desires to chip in to. Sagar ended his Prime Minister Cup campaign picking up 14 wickets as the joint leading wicket taker of the tournament and was the fourth highest scorer with 126 runs.
