South African has won the second and last test match against Pakistan with the margin of an inning and 92 runs to level the series 1-1 held at Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Imran Tahir and JP Duminy was the hero for their team in the bowling department both taking three wickets each with still more than a day remaining in the match.
As Tahir took three for 98 and Duminy took three for 67 the win for Proteas made took them to 11 away test series without defeat in their tour against Sri Lanka in the year 2006.
Pakistan trailing by 517 runs in their second inning just could manage to make 326 runs on the board. Asad Shafiq was the highest run scorer for his team with 130 runs. This is also Shafiq’s best score in test match cricket.
Apart from Shafiq captain Misbah-ul-Haq also made 88 runs and both tried to save the match for their team. They both added 197 runs for fifth wicket.
AB de Villiers was named man of the series as he scored 273 runs at an average of 91 in two test matches.
Now they will play in five-match one-day international series starting on Wednesday and then followed by two Twenty20 games.
