Ryder recalled after two years

Jessee Ryder has been recalled to New Zealand team for upcoming ODI home series against West Indies on Wednesday nearly after two years. Ryder has been included in the team for the first time since February 2012.

 

Ryder was dropped from team because of disciplinary issues during the ODI series against South Africa. He was also banned for six month after found using banned stimulants. 

 

After his ban was about to end but again he got skull injured from the serious assault he suffered in Christchurch earlier this year.

 

Likewise Martin Guptil has also returned from injury which means Tom Latham will be left our in top order.

 

Fast bowler Tim Southee will miss first two matches in the series because of toe problem but is expected for the third ODI.
