Mehboob Alam, Siddhant Lohani, Raju Rijal and Bhuwan Karki have been named in the Nepali squad for the #BatforNepal charity match to be played at the Kinrara Oval in Malaysia on .
Raju and Siddhant are the two emerging cricketers who played in the ACC U-19 at the United Arab Emirates in 2013-14. While Rijal remains the captain of the U-19 team and will lead Nepal in the ACC U-19 Premier in Malaysia, Siddhant has made his way into the national fold impressing in the only match he played for Nepal in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers against Jersey in Ireland.
Mehboob and Bhuwan had last played for Nepal in the ACC U-19 Premier with both cricketers included in Nepal’s preparation tour of India ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers.
Nepal will be led by Paras Khadka with other members in the team including Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Vesawkar, Shakti Gauchan, Sompal Kami, Rajesh Pulami, Karan KC, Avinash Karn and Anil Mandal.
Sri Lankan legendary cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya will lead the World XI side that will also include India’s Venugopal Rao, Bangladesh’s Sohag Gazi and Abdur Razzaq along with their first Test captain Aminul Islam and Pakistan’s former wicket keeping skipper Rashid Latif.
