The first practice match of Nepal National cricket team against Canterbury Selection Side has been cancelled due to the persistent rainfall at Burnside Park on Sunday.
National cricket team is at New Zealand to play four practice matches before the start of ICC World Cup Qualifiers which starts from January 13.
Speaking with cricketingnepal.com, Basant Regmi one of the important member of Nepal team told that because of regular rainfall in New Zealand today’s match has been cancelled.
“It was an important match for us. We have to get used to with the condition and pitch here to perform well in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers. But because of rain now we need to wait for next matches,” Regmi described.
Nepal did not even go to the ground and stayed in their resident because of heavy rainfall that did not give the hope of game being held.
