National cricket team coach Pubudu Dassanayake returns from Canada after almost a three-month break. Dassanayake landed at Tribhuwan International airport (TIA) on Wednesday.
Coach Dassanayake had left for Canada directly from Bermuda after the National team lifted the ICC World Cricket League Division Three title at the Caribbean soil on May 5 this year.
Dassanayake will now look after the team for the upcoming ACC Emerging Nations Team cup from today. The tournament will be held in Singapore from August 17 to 25.
After the completion of ACC Emerging Nations Team cup, which will be participated by U23 teams from Asian test playing nations. He is expected to make a preparation of his lifetime for the ICC world Twenty 20 qualifier in November followed by ICC 2015 World Cup Qualifier in January next year to be held at New Zealand.
