Former Indian right arm fast bowler Praveen Kumar has been signed by Mumbai Indians for the rest of the games of Indian Premier League. Kumar has been signed for the franchise as the replacement of left arm fast bowler Zaheer Khan.
Khan who had played the first six games for Mumbai was ruled out for the remaining matches because of side strain.
Kumar who was unsold during the auction in February will join Mumbai Indians before their next match against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. It is informed that Praveen will be available for Mumbai’s next game against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.
Kumar had played for Royal Challengers Bangalore for the season 2008 to 2010 and then moved to Kings XI Punjab in 2011 till last edition of IPL. In the last edition held in 2013 he picked up just 12 wickets in 15 matches.
