U-19 national player Prakash Bista slammed a magnificent century as Great Himalaya Cricket Academy (GHCA) hammered visiting Delhi Blues Cricket Club (DBCC) by eight wickets in the Model Global Indo-Nepal Friendly Series on Thursday.
The match held at the Pulchowk Engineering College grounds was reduced to 40-over-a-side due to wet outfield and DBCC made 191-6 after electing to bat first. GHCA, who played out a thrilling-draw in their second game of the five-match one-day series, reached the target with an ease after Prakash hammered 109 not out from just 74 balls.
Prakash’s sensational innings included 15 boundaries and three sixes. Prakash shared 122-run stand for the second wicket with Jeevan Lamsal who also completed a half century making 58 off 53. Bishal Babu Adhikari made 14 off 15.
In a sorry-looking DBCC bowling card, Pratham Rastogi and Aayush Kumar picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, Prakash also shined with the ball picking up 2-38 from seven overs. Ankit Negi top scored for the visitors with a 37-ball 47, while Pradhyuman Yadav made 45 off 73. Aakash Thambi was their next best scorer making 27 off 63.
Bishal Babu and Ram Jaiswal also picked up one wicket each for GHCA who lead the five-match series 1-0 with just two matches to go. The first game between the two sides was washed out due to rain. The fourth one-day is on Friday with the fifth on Saturday.
