Pointing appointed as coach of Mumbai Indians

Former Australian captain Ricky Pointed has been appointed as the head coach of Mumbai Indian teams for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL).


Pointing will be replacing the former coach John Wright. Wright who has already worked as the coach of Indian cricket team and New Zealand cricket team will now be working as the scout. He will also be working for youth development organization which will be run by the different IPL teams.


Pointed joined Mumbai Indians as the captain of the team in 2013 edition of IPL. But he was dropped in the team with poor form and Rohit Sharma giving the job after him. Again Pointing joined Mumbai in 2014 as an advisor.


Pointing who was the captain of Australian cricket team which won the World Cup title in 2003 and 2007 retired from International cricket in the year 2012.
