Current U-16 team skipper Rit Gautam, his teammate Pratish GC along with Sumit Jha and Bipin Acharya are the four players tapped in by Patriots through talent hunt programme. Only one will make it to the final squad.

National team leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, veteran allrounder Mehboob Alam, rising talent Kushal Bhurtel and Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi are few other well known names in the Patriots. They were bought through an auction along with Shankar Rana, Rajbir Singh, Pawan Sarraf, Sonu Tamang, Rashid Khan and Sandeep Jora.

The EPL begins from December 18 where the six teams will vie for a cash purse of Rs 2.1 million – the biggest amount so far given to the champions in domestic cricket. Kathmandu Kings XI, Biratnagar Warriors, Pokhara Rhinos, Chitwan Tigers and Bhairahawa Gladiators are the other five teams in the EPL.
