skipper Paras Khadka has sought clarification from a leading national daily
over a controversial story that carried report of his sacking as captain.
A leading Nepali
newspaper had quoted an anonymous source from the cricket governing body saying
he was stripped off captaincy under disciplinary grounds.
CAN Acting President
Deepak Koirala, however, denied the report saying the report was wrong and there
was no base on it, the same day the report was published on October 2. Calling
a press conference Paras said the report has damaged his reputation and
questioned his character adding he would be forced to take legal action if
necessary. “The report has quoted an unnamed source but CAN President
himself confirmed to me that no decision have been made as such,” said the

clarification from the newspaper and since it has been denied by the CAN
itself, I want a proof if it has any,” he added.

captain of the national team for long and the report has not only hit myself
but my fans, my family members and those who have been standing beside me. The
