National team skipper Paras Khadka said the national team is confident on getting a new management which will work in the betterment of cricket.
Speaking during the felicitation program of the national team for their impressive performance in the ICC World Twenty20, Paras remained optimistic of a new management after the 10 top officials from the current management were filed graft charges by CIAA relating to the alleged involvement in the embezzlement of millions of rupees in the construction of the Mulpani Cricket Stadium.
“If a good management comes in and more investment could be drawn, cricket will be able to earn a huge amount of respect for the country. We have seen how cricket in India and Pakistan have contributed to the economy of the two countries. I am sure that Nepali cricket will be able to establish a solid base to boost the country’s economy,” said Paras.
“We are sure that a new committee will come in which will work in the development of the game in a perfect way in the most systematic and organized manner. It’s now high time for every one of us. The government, President, Youth and Sports Ministry, National Sports Council, players and sports official need to get together and think seriously to take cricket into new heights,” added the Nepali skipper.
