Pakistan wins first ODI

Pakistan won the first ODI against Sri Lanka by 11 runs played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday and leads the five match series 1-0.


In the match Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bat first.


With the help of Mohammad Hafeez’s century Pakistan made a huge score of 322 runs in 50 overs with the los of five wickets.


Hafeez was the highest run scorer for Pakistan made 122 runs. Man of the match Hafeez played 129 balls and hit seven fours and four sixes.


Left handed opener Sharjeel Khan who debuted in the match also made 61 runs while Sohaib Maqsood also made 73 runs for Pakistan.


Chasing the target f 323 runs Sri Lanka could make only 311 runs and lost the match by 11 runs.


Sri Lanka could not make a solid partnership tough everyone contributed for their team. Kusal Parera was the highest run scorer for Sri Lanaka.


The second ODI match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played at Dubai Sports City, Dubai on Friday.
