Pakistan VS Sri Lanka – Day five preview

Pakistan seems to be in winning condition after the four day of play during the third and final test match against Sri Lanka which is being played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.

 

Pakistan who are chasing a target 377 runs has already posted 230 runs on board losing their two wickets. And they still need 147 runs with eight wickets in hand and has a whole day to win the test match.

 

Pakistan who won the first test match and lost the second one has strong chance of winning this third one and clinch the series 2-1. Their chance of winning is high because their opener Shan Masood is batting on 114 runs while their veteran middle order batsman Younis Khan is batting on 101 runs at the end of day four.

 

Sri Lanka who batted first made 278 runs in their first innings. When Pakistan batted first lost all their wickets making just 215 runs trailing by 63 runs from the score that was made by Sri Lanka in their first innings.

 

Sri Lanka who lead the first inning score by 63 runs was able to make just 313 runs in their second innings and gave the target of 376 runs.

 

Can Pakistan win the match and take series by 2-1 or can Sri Lanka win the match taking remaining eight wickets and win home series by 2-1. Or will the match end in draw resulting series draw by 1-1.
