Pakistan to participate in Asia Cup

Pakistan has confirmed their participation in this year’s Asia Cup which is being held at Bangladesh from February 25 to March eight.

 

Asian Cricket Council on Thursday confirmed about the news about Pakistan’s participation.

 

Pakistan will join the host country Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in the tournament where Pakistan will play their first match in the opening of the tournament on February 25 against Sri Lanka.

 

Pakistan earlier had viewed to take their name from the tournament after the political violence has been devastating in the last three months. With the violence there has been rumor of changing the venue of ICC T20 World Cup that starts in March because of political violence.

 

The security representatives from Pakistan are scheduled to arrive Dhaka on Saturday to inspect the venues and the condition of political conflict in Bangaldesh.
