Padam Bahadur Badela displayed another man-of-the-match performance as Banke won their second consecutive match of the fifth National Blind Cricket Tournament on Saturday routing Kanchanpur by 150 runs.
Padam smashed 18 boundaries on his way to make 84 not out as Banke piled up a mammoth 225-1 in the first match at the Pulchowk Engineering College grounds that was reduced to 11-over-a-side.
Padam then picked up one wicket as well as Kanchanpur could only make 75-5 in their 11. Prem Bhatt scored 22 runs for the losing side and Kamal Singh made 10.
Earlier, Durga Prasad Paudel also chipped in 67 for Banke, while Bharat Chaulagain made 22. Meanwhile, Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) registered their first victory of the tournament with a two-wicket victory over Kaski.
Kaski made 177-9 in 20 overs after they decided to bat first. Badri Chaulagain replied with a half century as TAC reached 178-8 in 18.4 overs.
Ratna Rai also contributed 22 for the Army men, while Surendra Tamang (12) and Bharat Thapa (11) scored in double digits.
Jeevan Gurung gave an allround performance for Kaski picking up three wickets and making 42 runs for his team.
On Sunday, Kaski will meet Lumbini and Kanchanpur will take on Bagmati.
