Organizer Youth for Nation Nepal (YFN) and Himalayan Cricket Team B has made a winning start in the opening day of Martyrs Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament held at Tundikhel, Kathmandu on Monday.
In the first match of the day YFN defeated Cannon Cricket Club by 27 runs. YFN scored 126 with the loss of nine wickets batting first.
Nitesh Shahi was the highest runs scorer for YFN who made 27 runs while Kiran Budha also contributed 24 runs.
Chasing the target of 127 runs Cannon was all out for 99 runs with 10 balls remaining in the match.
Birat Paudel of YFN who was elected as the man of the match claimed three wickets to help his team a comfortable win.
In the second match of the day Himalayan Cricket Team B won the match against Cric Lovers by 105 runs margin. Batting at first Himalayan made huge score of 167 runs.
Himanshu Dutta was the highest runs scorer for Himalayan who made 71 runs off 51 balls and grabbed the man of the match award.
In reply of Himlayan batting Cric Lovers were all out for 62 runs in 18.1 overs.
