One last chance for Nepal to end drought

Nepal will play their last match of ICC World Cup Qualifiers in the 9th place play off against Uganda at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday.

 

Nepal who aimed to play in World Cup 2015 or at least get ODI status for next four years lost all their matches and now will play this match just for the pride and get some happiness for their fans.

 

Nepal started with the number nine ranking in the team and do have pressure to keep this ranking.

 

Both Nepal and Uganda had lost all their five matches they have played in the tournament so far.

 

Nepal who lost the 7th place play off semi final against Netherlands while Uganda lost with Canada by 59 runs in D/L method will meet each other and will aim to be second last team in the tournament.

 

Nepal and Uganda had met each other twice earlier. They both had meet during World Cricket Division Three where in the group stage Nepal lost the match by six wickets while Nepal won by five wickets to clinch the title of WCL Division Three.

 

Wicket keeper batsman Suvash Khakurel who has not played single a match in the tournament because of viral fever is not sure to play in the match against Uganda too.
