New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne has been ruled out of the team for at least six weeks as he torn abdominal muscles during the first One Day International on Sunday at Naiper.

The 21 years old Milne leaved the field in 41st over when India was chasing the target of New Zealand. He also picked one wicket bowling 7.3 overs.

Milne made his ODI debut in November 2012 against Sri Lanka and has played seventh till now.

Milne had an MRI in Hamilton yesterday, after the team arrived from Napier and found torn abdominal muscles.

New Zealand cricket board has included 26 years old medium-pace bowler Hamish Bennett in place of Milne. Bennett has already joined the team in Hamilton in training session.
