NTV owns cricket’s telecasting rights

Nepal Television, a state-owned tv channel, has signed a three-year contract with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to broadcast the national and international cricket matches organised in Nepal.

CAN Acting President Deepak Koirala and NTV Officiating General Manager Deepak Mani Dhital signed  the agreement on Tuesday. It was a renewal of contract for NTV which had been telecasting Nepali cricket for the last nine years.

Apart from the domestic matches, NTV will also telecast all the ACC and ICC matches that will be held here in Nepal.

Dhital said the agreement was NTV’s bid to promote Nepali cricket and help in the development of the fastest growing sport in the country. Koirala said CAN was elated to have the contract renewed.
