New Zealand the rain hit fourth One Day International against West Indies by 58 runs in D/L method in the match played at Saxton Oval, Nelson on Saturday. With the win New Zealand lead the five match series 2-1.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. They made a fighting score of 285 runs in the board with the loss of six wickets in allocated 50 overs.
Martin Guptil was the highest scorer for New Zealand who made 81 runs from 119 balls. Man of the match Guptil scored four boundaries and two sixes.
As the second inning was suffered form rain D/L method was used and West Indies needed to chase a target of 193 runs in 33.4 overs.
But West Indies could only make 134 runs in their allocated 33.4 overs and lost the match by 58 runs.
The fifth and final ODI between New Zealand and West Indies will be played at Hamilton on January 8.
