Nepal’s Twenty20 Series splashed in Dambulla rain

Nepal’s first ever Twenty20 International Series is in danger after rain abandoned the second Twenty20 match against Hong Kong for a second consecutive day without a ball being bowled.

The first Twenty20 on Wednesday was also abandoned due to rain. Although Dambulla didn’t see much of rain on Thursday except for a morning drizzle, the ground was not in condition to host an international twenty20 game.

Following a three-day of continuous rain in Dambulla, the ground at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium was not able to get soaked up despite the ground staffs giving their best.

With more rain expected for the next few days in Dambulla, the whole series is now under the clouds of uncertainty. Friday is a reserved day and the third and final Twenty20 has been slated for Saturday. But with dark clouds refusing to clear out, Nepal’s second half of their 18-day Sri Lanka tour is certainly wet by the weather.
