Nepal’s former national cricket team skipper Paras Khadka has enrolled himself for a two year MBA (Master in Business Administration) programme.
Paras, who holds graduation in business administration, has begun the curriculum for the new session at Poenix College of Management in Thapagaun, Baneshwor. The college has also appointed Nepal’s most successful captain as brand ambassador for the next two years.
“Paras Khadka is not only famour for his sportsmanship but also a good and meritorious student. His closeness to the college and passion for higher education proves that the Phoenix College of Management if the first choice of national heroes and mertirorious students,” said college Principal Dr Binod Bahadur Khatri.
On Saturday, Phoenix College director Laxman Pokhrel announced Paras as the brand ambassador of the college for the next two years. Paras said education is always going to be important for an athlete.
Formal and higher education is very important for players, especially for their future career. An educated player is able to understand himself, the world and the game in a better way, said Khadka who has hit centuries for Nepal in both Twenty20 Internationals and One Day Internationals.
Phoenix College is the first Lincoln Universtiy affiliated college running MBA and BBA programs in Nepal.
