Nepal’s first defeat in First Class

After losing their match against Kurunegala Combine-XI by 87 runs, Nepal’s unbeaten streak in the First Class streak came to an end after a decade. Before the match against Kurunegala in their current Sri Lanka tour, Nepal had played four First Class games from 2004-05 winning two and drawing the remaining. Nepal’s first ever First Class game against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Inter-continental Cup three-day in 2004 had ended on a tie. They then defeated UAE in the second in 2005 at the home town.
