Nepali U-19 team to play five practice matches in India

The Nepali U-19 team preparing for the ICC U-19 World Cup will fine-tune their performance with five warm-up games in a 15-day preparation tour of India.

According to team coach Jagat Tamatta, Nepal will play three matches against local clubs in Dharamshala and two in New Delhi.

Nepal will leave for New Delhi on December 30 before setting forth for a trip to Dharamshala the next day. After undergoing training sessions and three matches, the team will get back to New Delhi to play two further practices games in the Indian capital.

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Chief Executive Officer Bhawana Ghimire had coordinated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India to fix the preparation tour.

Nepal are pitted against India, Australia and New Zealand in the U-19 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh from January 22 to February 14

Before kicking off their campaign with the January 28 match against New Zealand, Nepal, into their seventh U-19 World Cup appearance, will also play Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the official warm-up games.
