Nepali cricket team returns back home

Nepali national cricket team has returned back to Nepal on Thursday after participating in the Acc Premier League held at Malaysia from May one to May seven.


Nepal got qualified for the ACC Championship to be held on December in UAE after they finished third in the tournament. The ACC Championship will feature the top four team of this tournament and will play two day matches.


Nepal started he campaign with a win over UAE by four wickets while chasing the target of 192 runs. Nepal and UAE was the joint winner of this tournament which was earlier known as ACC Elite Cup Trophy.


In the second match held against Malaysia Nepal won the match by five wickets while lost the third match against Oman by two wickets with thirteen balls remaining while defending the target of 158 runs.


But in the fourth and last match against arch rival Afghanistan Nepal lost the match by a margin of 108 runs by D/L method and finishing the tournament in the third position.


Captain Paras Khadka told the press that as a team the tournament was good and had a good exposure for the team after landing at Tribhuwan International Airport at 11:40 AM.


Now the team will join their Nepal Premier League that will kick off at Dhangadi and Mahendranagar from May 14 with six participating team.
