Nepal VS Ireland – Nepal’s lowest total in T20 International

Nepal has
been bundled in their lowest total in ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers against
Ireland in the match which is being held at Belfast. This is the second lowest
total by Nepal in T20 International matches. Nepal were all out making 53 runs
in 14.3 overs against host.

Nepal’s lowest total was against Canada in 2012 edition of Qualifiers where
they were all out in 18.2 overs making 83 runs while Nepal’s earlier lowest
total in T20 International was against Netherlands during 2nd T20 International
in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Nepal’s score is also the second lowest total in

Nepal who
batted first losing the toss was able to make just 53 runs. Opener Sagar Pun
was the higest run scorer for Nepal who made 20 runs in 18 balls with three
fours. Captain Khadka was the other batsman who made double digit score of 10
in 16 balls.

Apart from
them none of the batsmen were able to make double digit score where three
batsmen including Pradeep Airee, Binod Bhandari and Shakti Gauchan could not
even open their account. Airee and Bhandari were out on the very first ball
they faced while Gauchan played two balls without scoring a run.

Anil Mandal
was the first batsman to get out scoring two runs. Sharad Vesawkar and Rajesh
Pulami Magar both scored six runs each while Gyanendra Malla and Bashant Regmi
made two runs each.

For Kevin
O’Berin and Stuart Thompson were the highest wicket taker for Ireland. Both
took three wickets. O’Berin bowled four overs and conceded just eight runs
while Thompson gave ten runs in his 3.3 overs.

John Mooney sent two batsmen to pavillion while Alex Cusack and Craig Young had
a scalp.
