Nepal U19 VS Malaysia U19 – Semi-final – U19 Asia Cup Qualifiers

Nepal U19 will fight against host Malaysia U19 in the
first semi-final of U19 Asia Cup Qualifiers, Eastern Region at Kinrara Oval on
Saturday.



Nepal U19 had made into the semi-final after finishing first
in Group A with nine points while Malaysia U19 is runner up in the group stage
from Group B with six points.



Coach Binod Das is confident of booking a place in the
final a day before the match against Malaysia. “We are hopeful of finding
ourselves in the final of the tournament. What we have to do is to continue the
performance we have been giving in the group stage,” says Das.



“We are here to book our place in U19 Asia Cup. So
we are two more steps away from our U19 Asia Cup. Defeating Malaysia we want to
reach the final, one more step towards our aim,” described captain
Dipendra Singh Airee.



Nepal defeated Thailand U19 by a huge margin of 255 runs
in their first match of the tournament. Then Nepal U19 crushed Bhutan U19 by
nine wickets to book a place in semi-final. In the third and final group stage
Nepal U19 outraged Singapore U19 by seven wickets to lead the point table by
nine points.



The match between Nepal U19 and Malaysia U19 will start
from 7:15 AM NST.
