Nepal U19 to face Thailand in Asia Cup Qualifiers opener

Nepal U19 will play against
Thailand U19 in U19 Asia Cup Qualifiers, Eastern Region on Monday. The match will
start at 7:15 AM and will be played at Club Aman.
The Nepal team wants to make a good start in the tournament thrashing Thailand in the first match. Both newly appointed captain Dipendra Singh Airee and Coach Binod Das are confident about winning tomorrow’s match against Thailand.

Speaking at a press conference before the start of the tournament today Airee said that his team is strong enough to win matches against all the participating teams in the tournament. “We had pretty good training back home. Monty Desai was with us for a short stint as batting consultant, but we got an opportunity to learn a lot. But that was much helpful for us. We are confident of winning the title and book a place in Asia Cup,” said the captain.

Coach Das is also confident with his boys. Das further described, “We have world class bowling and fielding. Everyone doubts us in our batting. It is probably because of our performance in U19 World Cup Qualifiers. We have a very good batting line-up too. This time my boys will perform with the bat also. So we can make our place in Asia Cup.”
